Overnight Closure of I-15 in Murrieta Scheduled

Detours will be in place.

All lanes of Interstate 15 are scheduled to be closed between Murrieta Hot Springs Road and California Oaks Road/Kalmia Street in Murrieta late Thursday into early Friday, according to an advisory sent by Caltrans.

The closures are due to the I-15/Los Alamos Road overpass improvement project. Thursday night, crews are scheduled to adjust structural support beams.

All southbound lanes are scheduled to be closed from 10 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14 to 4 a.m. Friday, Nov. 15. All northbound lanes are scheduled to be closed from midnight to 5 a.m. Friday, Nov. 15.

There are related ramp closures. The southbound I-15 onramp at California Oaks Road will be closed from 10 p.m. Thursday to 4 a.m. Friday. The northbound I-15 onramp at Murrieta Hot Springs Road will be closed between midnight and 5 a.m.

All southbound traffic will exit at California Oaks Road and drivers will be directed to Madison Avenue then to Murrieta Hot Springs Road and then back on the freeway.

All northbound traffic will exit at Murrieta Hot Springs Road and drivers will be directed to Madison Avenue then to California Oaks Road and then back on the freeway.
