Murrieta Rotary's 'Margaritaville' Spring Fling Set for March 9

The "Margaritaville" fundraiser will held at the Murrieta Community Center beginning at 6 p.m. The public is invited and single seats are $50 each.

A festive Margaritaville-themed show and dinner will highlight the 16th annual Rotary Club of Murrieta "Spring Fling" fundraiser on Saturday, March 9.

The "Margaritaville" fundraiser will held at the Murrieta Community Center beginning at 6 p.m. The public is invited and single seats are $50 each. Seating is limited and tickets are on a first come, first serve basis as a sell-out is expected.

The Spring Fling is the Murrieta Rotary Club's annual fundraiser which allows it to accomplish local community and international service projects, including the Field of Honor, Valentine's dinner dance for special needs adults, Vocational Service Awards and many youth programs and scholarships.

Entertainment throughout the evening will be by "The CoastRiders," a Jimmy Buffet tribute band. The Caribbean-style food will be provided by Wagon Master Catering.

Murrieta Rotarian Patsy Orr, club president-elect, is event chair and Mickie Evans is co-chair for the evening.  There will be live and silent auctions for many quality items, coordinated by Dawn Fujiwara-Pavlik.

"Parrot Head" Spring Fling sponsors include: Key West -- Bailey and Hall, attorneys.

The Rotary Club of Murrieta was chartered on April 28, 1992 and serves the City of Murrieta and area.  The club is involved in many local area and several international projects in cooperation with Rotary International, which has as its theme "Service Above Self."   For information regarding Rotary membership and more, please visit www.murrietarotary.org.  

Some of the other community service projects provided by the Rotary Club of Murrieta are the Day of Service, Thanksgiving community dinner partnership with Murrieta Mesa High School, and Bell Ringing for the Salvation Army at the local Wal-Mart. 

On the international front, the Murrieta club has projects in India and Mexico.

Rotary is a non-profit organization of professionals and leaders in the local community who volunteer to improve the community and world. The Murrieta club meets every Monday, except national holidays, at Richie's Diner, 40651 Murrieta Hot Springs Road in Murrieta.
