Murrieta Plans 44th Annual Father's Day Car Show

The free event is planned for Sunday, June 15 at California Oaks Sports Park.

The following is a news release from the city of Murrieta:

The public is invited to attend—and registration is now open for—one of Murrieta’s longest-running events: its Father’s Day Car Show.

The City of Murrieta Community Services Department has dads, families and car aficionados in mind again this year by hosting this 44th annual event, to be held Sunday, June 15 at California Oaks Sports Park.

What better way to spend Father’s Day than in the park, strolling through rows and rows of gleaming classic cars, getting a close-up look at all the bells and whistles? Or showing off your own car?

Featuring pre-1980s models and specialty cars, show time is from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the park located at 40600 California Oaks Road in Murrieta.

The event is free for the public to attend, so bring the whole family. (Note: no pets will be permitted in the event area.)

Judges will award trophies to “Dad’s Top 40” among the entries. Another five trophies will be awarded for a selection of categories, including “Best in Show,” the winner of which will be featured on the following year’s promotional items.

For those wishing to showcase their vehicle, a pre-registration fee of $25 is due by June 13 and includes an event T-shirt. Registration for a fee of $30 (not including a T-shirt) is available the day of the show between 6:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m.

For further registration or event information, call 951-304-7275 or visit www.murrieta.org.
