Murrieta Library Closed Saturday for Tour de Murrieta

Several streets will be closed to accommodate the bike race and the crowds, resulting in the necessary closure of the Murrieta Public Library on Saturday, March 9.

The City of Murrieta is expecting to draw large crowds to watch the 2013 Tour de Murrieta, scheduled for Friday, Saturday and Sunday, March 8, 9 and 10. Several streets will be closed to accommodate the bike race and the crowds, resulting in the necessary closure of the Murrieta Public Library on Saturday, March 9.

In anticipation of the closure, no library materials will be due on March 9 as library staff changed the due dates for all patron materials that were previously checked out. Since the Library will be inaccessible, all programs and other services will be postponed. Library users are reminded that while the Murrieta Library will be closed for the one day, books, DVDs, CDs and other materials can be renewed beforehand at the Library or via the Library’s web page where patrons can view their personal accounts and access a variety of free resources that are always available for research.  The Library will resume normal operating hours beginning Monday, March 11.

The Murrieta Public Library is located at 8 Town Square (Adams Avenue and Kalmia Street). For more information call 951-304-BOOK (2665) or visit the Library’s web page at www.murrietalibrary.info.
