Love Your Library Month: Murrieta Library to Waive Fines

Celebrate during February by bringing canned food to the Library in exchange for fines owed.

MURRIETA, CA – February is Love your Library Month at the Murrieta Public Library. During the entire month of February, the Library invites the community to love your library, reduce your fines, and donate to your community. Celebrate this occasion by bringing canned food to the Library in exchange for fines owed.

For each canned good brought in, 50 cents of fines will be waived, up to a maximum of $10.

Love your Library Month is celebrated throughout the month in public, school and private libraries nationwide. This is a great time for citizens to recognize the important role libraries play in the cultural and economic success of local communities and the nation as a whole.

Whether Murrietans come to the Library for bestselling books, children’s storytimes, to access the Internet or to use the computers, Murrieta residents are encouraged to show how much they love their local public library as well as their community by participating in this celebration.

Donated food items will be given to the Murrieta United Methodist
Church.

The Murrieta Public Library is located at 8 Town Square (Adams Avenue and Kalmia Street). For more information about Love your Library Month or about other ways to support the Library, call (951) 304-BOOK (2665) or visit the Library’s web page at www.murrietalibrary.info.
