A Lake Elsinore event designed to promote awareness of human trafficking around the world is in need of sponsors.
The Lamb’s Fellowship Lake Elsinore announced it will hold the “Run Against Slavery 5K,” Feb. 23, 2013 at 9 a.m., on the levee at 500 Diamond Dr., Lake Elsinore.
The inaugural event is expected to attract runners and children from across the Lake Elsinore Valley and surrounding areas.
Lamb’s is seeking sponsors for the event. The sponsorships will provide businesses with an opportunity to get their name out to 5K participants while demonstrating support for the fight against slavery, according to race director Debbie George.
“From international cities to our own local suburbs, human trafficking has become one of the fastest growing criminal industries on the globe,” George said.
Funds raised from the event will benefit NOT FOR SALE, a California nonprofit working to fight human trafficking.
“I encourage you to consider becoming a sponsor for our Run Against Slavery 5K”, George said. “We are also accepting donations of raffle prizes and would be happy to announce your name as we give away your donated prize. Major sponsors who are able to make a commitment by January 1st will be featured in our event signage and T-shirts that will be given to every participant.”
For more information, contact Debbie George at (951) 490-7764. To become a sponsor, please mail your check to the Lamb’s Fellowship at 21901 Railroad Canyon Road, Lake Elsinore, Ca. 92532.
