Gray Skies, Drizzle, Greet Murrieta Residents Saturday

The cooling trend will continue as a trough of low pressure continues to exert its influence on the region.

A deeper marine layer brought fog, drizzle, and a bit of light rain to Murrieta Saturday but it was expected to clear slowly later in the day.

Otherwise, the cooling trend will continue as a trough of low pressure continues to exert its influence on the region. Temperatures will be cooler today through Tuesday; then a warming trend begins Wednesday and is set to continue through Friday.

A cold front will bring a chance of rain Tuesday, then temperatures should climb back into the 80s by Friday.

Today: Drizzle, light rain, fog, and low clouds ... becoming partly sunny and breezy in the afternoon. Mild. Southwest wind increasing to 10 to 20 mph in the afternoon, high near 74 degrees.

Tonight: Partly cloudy early, then fog, drizzle and low clouds. A chance of showers. Breezy with south wind 10 to 20 mph, low around 55 degrees.

Sunday: Low clouds, drizzle and fog ... becoming mostly cloudy. A chance of showers. Cool. Breezy with south wind 10 to 20 mph, high of about 68 degrees; Sunday night: Clear early, then fog and low clouds. South wind 10 mph, low near 52 degrees.
