From Kitties to German Shepherds, Shelter Animals Await

Southwest Communities Animal Shelter has a class that can help determine what kind of pet is right for your family.

The holidays are over and maybe you've been thinking about getting a new pet? Well has many to choose from as you can see from the attached photos!

To help with the adoption process, the shelter is offering an educational class on pet ownership. Join Humane Educator Leslie Kegley as she answers questions on basic pet care, including finding the right pet for your family and bringing a new pet into the household.

Space is limited so sign up today! The class takes place from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Jan. 12, in the shelter's classroom. Cost is $5 per adult; kids under 14 are free with an adult present. There will be informational handouts and a craft for kids.
