Friends of Murrieta Library Invite You to Set Sail

The Friends of the Murrieta Library invite guests to join them in May for a seven-day cruise along the California Coast.

Do you like to cruise? The Friends of the Murrieta Library have scheduled a seven-day California Coastal Cruise for May 4, 2013. The cruise leaves from the port of Los Angeles, overnights in San Francisco, stops in Santa Barbara, Catalina Island, San Diego, Ensenada and returns to Los Angeles.

Bookings must be made through Cruise Specialists, Kelli Surdell, at 800-544-2469.  All category cabins are still available, but this cruise sells out fast, so reservations should be made now. If you are a frequent sailor on Princess be sure to give that information to Ms. Surdell.

If we have enough passengers, The Friends will book a bus for transportation from Murrieta to Los Angeles to board the ship; and from the Los Angeles pier back to Murrieta at the end of the cruise. The cost could be as low as $32.26 per person including transportation and a tip to the driver.

If you book by mid-December, you can write off the donation included in the cruise price on your 2012 income tax. The amount is $52.43 per person. This donation will be passed on to the Library for programs or for their book collection.

For more information, look for a flier at either of the Friends Bookstores: Town Square adjacent to the Library, or The Corner Store at 39445 Los Alamos, near the Post Office.  Or you can research the information on Murrietalibraryfriends.org.
