Family Storytime Returns to Murrieta Library

Children and their parents are encouraged to attend Family Storytime, to be held at 7 p.m. first Tuesday of each month beginning Sept. 4.

Family Storytime, an interactive half-hour program of books, songs and activities, returns to the Murrieta Public Library Sept. 4.

Kids and parents can wear their pajamas to the new series of evening storytimes offered on the first Tuesday night of the month at 7 p.m. beginning on Sept. 4 in the Murrieta Library’s Community Room, according to a news release.

“Reading is an important and fun activity to experience with your child," said said Youth Services Librarian Allison Eagans. "Studies show that pre-bedtime reading helps to create a routine for the child, which helps with the sleeping patterns, and encourages emotional bonding as well as intellectual development in their language and speech skills.
