Closures Planned for Murrieta Bike Tour in March

The City of Murrieta is expecting to draw large crowds to watch the 2014 Tour de Murrieta, scheduled for Friday, Saturday and Sunday, March 7th, 8th and 9th.

Several streets will be closed to accommodate the bike race and the crowds, resulting in the necessary closure of the Murrieta Public Library on Saturday, March 8th.

In anticipation of the closure, no library materials will be due on March 8th as library staff has changed the due dates for all patron materials that were previously checked out.

Since the Library will be inaccessible, all programs and other services will be postponed.  Library users are reminded that while the Murrieta Library will be closed for the one day, books, DVDs, CDs and other materials can be renewed beforehand at the Library or via the Library’s web page where library patrons can view their personal accounts and access a variety of free resources that are always available for research.  The Library will resume normal operating hours beginning Monday, March 10, 2013.

The Murrieta Public Library is located at 8 Town Square (Adams Avenue and Kalmia Street). For more information call (951) 304-BOOK (2665) or visit the Library’s web page at www.murrietalibrary.info
