Um...I am 1000% behind our military and am beyond thankful that they protect us and allow our freedoms. I understand they need training and support all of it 100%. I have lived in south OC for more than 40 years and have adjusted to the vibrations from the random bombing training exercises in Camp Pend over all those years. HOWEVER, currently I have a child with a learning disability who is struggling in school who can NOT sleep when my house is shaking all night long on a Wednesday. When did these middle of the night practice bombings DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR start? I AM PISSED NOW. This is ridiculous. While I understand the need, please consider the TIME! There are many, many CHILDREN within the 50 mile range who are suffering!! God Bless the military....but I am praying this msg gets to someone in charge of scheduling at Pendleton!!! PLEASE CONSIDER THE CHILDREN TRYING TO SLEEP DURING THE SCHOOL WEEK.

You want everything! you want the military; you want them to train; you want God to hear your prayers; you want consideration for children trying to sleep; you want to be "pissed". you are so confused...you just want what you want with no other considerations.

While trying to figure out what all the racket and house shaking was from, we discovered a leaky toilet, so thanks Camp Pendleton! PS, my wife was also thrilled that no one was breaking into our house, although it sounded like it. How about that for a silver lining (besides the whole freedom thing)?

War and combat training is not a 9 to 5 type of thing. Ever thought about the children who live ON the base and who's parents are out there training to protect YOUR freedom?! I'm honestly embarrassed for you that you are complaining about this on a public forum, you've made yourself look ridiculous.

Hello, first thank you to all you do for our country!! Second, I am new to the area are the booms shaking my home coming from Camp Pendleton? My home in Florida is new Big Lake George so, I am familiar with the booms when they are testing compression bombs, these in Oceanside seems very similar to those.... Thanks, Sincerely, Rox

I love and appreciate the military and have no problem with the troops who about to be sent to Afghanistan learning to protect others and keep themselves safe. Go BOOM all you need to and thanks.
