5 Things to Know in Murrieta Today: March 14
The Murrieta Public Library resumes normal business hours complete with a knitting club meeting.
1.) Welcome to Monday! According to the National Weather Service, today will be mostly sunny with a high near 80. Tonight, it is expected to be partly cloudy with a low around 47. A great start to the week.
2.) The Rotary Club of Murrieta welcomes community members to attend its weekly meetings and get involved with the many great things the club does for Murrieta. The meeting is held at 12:10 p.m. each Monday at The Oaks Grill at 40603 Colony Dr. in Murrieta.
3.) Here's what's for lunch today at elementary schools in the Murrieta Valley Unified School District: chicken nuggets and a chocolate chip cookie. Lunches are served with a fresh fruit/salad bar and a choice of juice or milk. To see middle and high school menus, click here.

4.) The Murrieta Public Library is hosting a knitting club with instructor Peggy Hagberg. Bring your knitting needles and yarn and have a great time knitting. Organizers do recommend some knitting experience. The event begins at 4 p.m. at Murrieta Public Library, Eight Town Square and is open to all. 5.) The Employment Development Department is your one stop for education, advice and leads on finding a job. Today, EDD will be holding its job club orientation beginning at 9 a.m. The workshop provides an overview of the Experience Unlimited Job Club, including the benefits and requirements of becoming a member. The workshop takes places at the Southwest Workforce Development Center, 30135 Technology Drive in Temecula. Job seekers must register beforehand by going to www.rivcojobs.com.
