5 Things to Know in Murrieta Today: Feb. 4

Don't forget to add some color to your attire today, it's National Wear Red day!

1.) The National Weather Service is reporting a high of 68, with low wind. Tonight there is an expected low of 42. There is expected frost before 10 a.m., so be careful on your morning commute.

2.) February is Responsible Pet Owners month.  Now is the time to become a responsible pet owner by adopting a cat or dog from your local shelter. 4.) Go Red! Today is National Wear Red Day. Don’t forget Rancho Springs Medical Center is holding a free event to bring awareness to cardiovascular disease. The festivities begin at 8 a.m. with a heart-healthy breakfast. For more information, click here.

5.) Weekend Gas Outlook: Gas pricees in the Inland Empire were an average $3.352 per regular gallon as of Thursday, according to AAA.com. That is 2.1 cents higher than last week, four cents higher than last month, and 37 cents more than last year at this time, the auto club reported.
