5 Things to Know in Murrieta Today: April 29

1.) Today will be sunny with a high near 71, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight, it is expected to be mostly clear with a low around 47.

2.) Motorists are advised that Interstate 215 at Clinton Keith Road will be closed in both directions between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. tonight. The closure began last night and will begin again at 9 p.m. tonight. Be patient if there is residual traffic from last night’s closure and if you’re driving home late, remember to take a detour. 

3.) Here's what's for lunch today at elementary schools in the Murrieta Valley Unified School District: Galaxy cheese pizza and a chocolate chip cookie. 5.) See Cole Canyon Elementary's Odyssey of the Mind team in action tonight during an encore gala. The team won a state competition for its imaginative skit, and will represent Murrieta in Maryland on Memorial Day weekend for world finals. Tonight's event begins at 6 p.m. with food and goodies in the MPR, followed by a 7 p.m. performance of the team and other teams from the schools.
