The 3rd annual Wild Wild West BBQ Championship will be held in Lake Elsinore today beginning at 11 a.m. Formerly held at Knotts Berry Farm, this year’s event will be held Lake Elsinore Laguna Resort. There will be barbecue tastings, carnival style food fare, vendors, jumpers for the kids at no charge, live music, beer and wine garden, with 100 percent of the procees going to the Rotary Club of Wildomar. For the serious BBQ afficionados this is a "Pitmaster" type KCBS "Kansas City BBQ Society" sanctioned event with over $17,500 in prize money and some of the best teams from accross the country taking part in it. As of now teams are coming from Kansas, Oklahoma and Iowa, as well as Arizona, Northern and Southern California and other places. Admission is $5 per person.
