5 Things to Know In Murrieta Nov. 14

2. Join the between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. for Kyle's Cartoon Platoon, a drawing workshop hosted by Kyle Tiernan. For children in kindergarten through fifth grade, Tiernan reveals tips and techniques on how to draw in a fun and interactive workshop, "Drawing Secrets Revealed!" All participants have the opportunity to interact with Tiernan during this workshop as he puts the kids at ease with his great teaching style and ability to relate with his audience. Drawing supplies are provided. The program--free and open to the public--will be held in the Murrieta Public Library's Community Room and is part of the Library’s fall school-age program series. Get there early; tickets will be handed out 30 minutes before the event and space is limited to 70 children.

3. Here's what's for lunch today at elementary schools in the Murrieta Valley Unified School District: chicken nuggets and a chocolate chip cookie.
