Murrieta Resident to Celebrate Her 99th Birthday with a 99 Second Shopping Spree Courtesy of 99 Cents Only Stores!

Mildred "Millie" Fox of Murrieta could not be more excited to celebrate her 99th birthday with a 99 second shopping spree and free birthday cake courtesy of 99 Cents Only Stores! On Friday, July 19th - Millie will participate in a 99 second shopping spree while getting pushed in her wheelchair through the store by her caregiver, Susie Cortina. Cortina says that "Mama Millie" as she affectionately calls her, "is very excited about all of this!" This will be 99 Cents Only Stores very first 99th birthday celebration. Mayor Gibbs of Murrieta plans to attend this very special and momentous event.

CITY OF COMMERCE, Calif., July 3, 2013 – Turning 99 years old doesn’t come around every day! That’s exactly why Mildred “Millie” Fox of Murrieta, CA is excited to celebrate this very special day in a very special way! At 7am on Friday, July 19th, Millie is going to receive a 99 second shopping spree experience and free birthday cake, courtesy of 99¢ Only Stores® at her local store in Murrieta. This will be 99¢ Only Stores® very first 99th birthday celebration.

Millie, mother of 7, has been living in Murrieta for the past 12 years and has always loved shopping at 99 Cents Only Stores. Millie says that she likes shopping at 99¢ Only Stores® because “you get more for your money and find many of the same items that you would find at other stores for less.” She also says it “helps her social security check go further.” For many years she would visit her local store twice a week with her girlfriend to stock up on some of her favorite items such as canned peaches and general toiletry items. Her son, Gary Fox says that Millie is “so tickled to be able to do this!”

Millie’s caregiver, Susie Cortina is planning on assisting by wheeling her around in her wheelchair through the store for this exciting occasion! This event will take place at 25270 Madison Street at the corner of Murrieta Hot Springs Rd.

Finally something I can make a positive comment on, although I would have liked to know more about Mama Millie and her long life and less about 99 cent store and their free advertising. Bring a real big cart Millie, and fill it up to the brim. You are the bees knees, Kiddo! Hotcha!

Alek, I was just gong to comment on that. I, too, would've really enjoyed hearing about her background and what she attributes her longevity to. This is nothing but a big commercial for the 99 cent store. Millie, I wish you a swell Happy Birthday and here's to many, many more!
