BOSCO-RIP At DEVORE Shelter. Never knew love, Confiscated from Lucerne Valley Hoarder. Cold and starve in the desert.
There is no PATCH in the SW Desert towns except Patch  in REDLAND/ Linda Loma so I  posted this on Patch in REDLAND/ Linda Loma, Temecula  & now I am compelled to posting this info here.
Since Thanksgiving there is a tragic situation at Lucerne Valley animal rescue ranch. 120+ dogs and 30+ cats were living in a terrible condition. The owner (and her daughter) are not doing anything for these animals. She only let few people into her ranch to get the animals or to look at them. The owner does not have enough money to buy food to feed the dogs and cats. These animals were living in a starving and cold condition. NO ONE bother to report it except several animal rescuers who went to the property and took 20+ dogs and saved them before San Bernardino Animal Control went to the property and started taking them into Devore Shelter (HIGH KILL SHELTER). At least 10+ were PUT TO DEATH and several are now sitting in DEVORE SHELTER waiting for Rescuers to get them out. Many dogs that were killed were either too sick and or injured. There are animal lovers who posted these animals on FACEBOOK and there are many private parties kind hearted people and animal Rescuers who pledge to donate money for the expenses to get them out. Some of these animals are not adoptable at all, they are under weight, some are of mixed breed or undesirable bleed. Many Rescuers are only looking to get the cute ones and the highly adoptable out of the shelter, why? so they can get them to the adoption events at Petco's and Petsmart's to be adopted. So in the meantime, San Bernardino A/C will keep killing them in DEVORE Shelter for space and they will keep going back to the ranch to get more animals out of the ranch. In the mean time, there are kind hearted people who donated money and they bought food at the feed store in Lucerne Valley and have the dog and cat food sent to the ranch. There are some kind hearted people who also donated money to get the animals out of there before the SB A/C go back to get them to the shelter.  We were told that they already took 30+ cats to the shelter. I have been involve in VOLUNTEERING with animal rescue  for shelter animals. I pledged and donated for 2-3 dogs per week since 2012 to 2013. I also spent my own money and volunteered and fostered dogs for rescuers. This is another tragic story about animal lover turned to a hoarder, people with good intention but they turn into animal abusers. There were 2 other hoarder situation and the one in Riverside was a much better situation with most animals that were saved.  If you have Facebook account you can log into Facebook and see this group and read more of the info posted there. THIS IS NOT A SCAM or A HOAX. I just want to get it out into public about the shelter situation in Southern California, especially in the Inland Vallley and Desert areas. People losing homes so they abandoned their animals and rescuers tried to help. There are good rescuers and not too good ones that only help when it makes sense in their pocket books.  Adoptable dogs = $$$... There are rescuers who work tirelessly for animals, $ or not... There are many organizations that help animals and they promoted themselves on Facebook for publicity and $$$ donation. I approached some of these organizations, and NOT ONE OF THESE Organizations want to help these dogs and cats. My heart ached for these animals.

unleashed dogs that pose a perceived threat to any residents of both San Berdoo and Riverside counties, especially unincorporated areas, can be legally shot ON SIGHT. this includes attack on a leashed pet.

I know, owners must be aware and mindful about their dogs and cats. I live in the wine country here and there are people who own chihuahuas and daschunds that are running around on the streets. These homes sit on 2 and 1/2 to 40 acres land and there are several pack of coyotes in the neighborhood. I would drive down the street and had to stop and called the neighbors and asked them to get their dogs in the fenced area before they get run over. The neighbors would say "Oh they are out all the time" WT??? %#%&#%)# Several years ago a family member went jogging with his dog and his dog got attacked by a pack of dogs (NOT COYOTES) that live on the 40 acres ranch that adjacent to the street. Those dogs run around lose and they have no fences around the property. Luckily he yelled and got them away before they kill his dogs. I also have neighbor big dogs that are running lose on the street but they are friendly. However, there are some inside the fences on the properties that are big and look vicious. How do you know which one is dangerous. OWNERS must be responsible PET OWNERS when they own pets.

REGARDING the LUCERNE VALLEY HOARDER's DOGS and 30 Cats that went to Devore Shelter. We think at least 15 dogs were already KILLED there. I do not know anything about the cats and their faiths. There are 38 dogs left at that ranch. The SB A/C is going back there each week after they killed the other and have more ROOM at the DEVORE SHELTER.

I live in Temecula so I can only post messages and shared Facebook threads for these animals. I tried to network and helped with the ones that were taken in to Devore shelter. There was a situation in Riverside in early January 2013, with much better outcome. A Facebook group was created, similar to this one but some of the information posted by angry people on that group were not totally true. However most, if not all of those animals were saved because the owner had no choice but to give them up. (Except 5 or 6 of her own animals.) She was reported to Riverside AC and all the So Cal shelters and had her pull rights taken away; and she was reported to PETCO & PETSMART so she can no longer have the adoption events there. There was a big PR on Facebook pages and on local papers and even a TV station sent the camera van to her place. Finally the place was shut down within a few weeks. There was a hoarder in Apple Valley in mid 2013, but I was in hiatus with travelling to be with my mother in Thailand so I was not aware and have no idea what happened to that situation. This is a very sad situation and worse that there is no publicity except for this group and few postings on a Yahoo group. Yes, we have many rescuers on Facebook that are trying to help on their own but many are busy and have their own animals to save or to adopt out. Many in Devore were saved but many are in dangerous of being on EU even as of right now. I made few postings on Patch local papers. I also posted and begged on several LARGE FACEBOOK Animal Rescuers / Intervention program groups and I also PM'd them BUT not one of them replied or responded. Riverside County A/C did a great job and at least they SAVED all that hoarder's animals. They gave ultimatum to her and she reluctantly allowed other rescuers to take her dogs and cats. She also had many volunteers there at her place. Plus when she told them she was giving them away, the A/C were there watching her place. I was there to help her with some dogs and they watched me take dogs from her on the last day. She ended up with only 6-7 of her own at the end, within a week to 10 days, I would say. THERE is no helps here and those LUCERNE dogs continued to live a meager, cold & starving lifes or will be taken away to kill at DEVORE!! Rescuers would save adoptable dogs and cats and the cute ones with LOTS OF $$$ Pledged for them.

Alek- you're back- finally get out of Patton. If unattended dogs that are a perceived threat can be shot on sight -whose perception.? I think you would have a hard time explaining to the court that you shot a dog because you thought it might attack you. Not to mention discharging a firearm in city limits. You can't even shoot a human based on perceived threat.
Jeff Kleiner January 07, 2014 at 05:29 PM
Poor, sad, demented, disgraced, fired LAPD cop. You can't even shoot "a human based on perceived threat'. Thats why idiots like you shouldn't even be allowed to be tempted.
Steve Newman January 07, 2014 at 06:01 PM
Convict Kleiner- there you go again- the same old lies from the same old liar. Read the law moron- you can not shoot a person just because you think he might hurt you. How'd you like the supreme court ruling about Chicagos gun law on purchases being unconstitutional. I loved it.
MiLady SoCal January 07, 2014 at 06:16 PM
Thank you reading my message however, I have to say good lord, this is about the poor animals folks! I posted on Temecula.patch and Redlands-loma linda patch and several other animal rescuer groups and no one read the message. I also posted on and PE, UT San Diego Facebook pages, only one responded that it is not "IN OUR BACK YARD - outside of our area" In the meantime that WOMAN still has about 38 dogs at her ranch and she does not have money to buy food for them.. GRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!
John Smith January 07, 2014 at 11:16 PM
Jeff Kleiner is the racist stalker Demitard . The online stalker of women whose life is a lie. He has no family or friends and is now living the karma of his evil ways. Have you grown devil horns Kleiner? I wouldn't be surprised.
Steve Newman January 08, 2014 at 02:52 PM
John- that's convict Kleiner, right? The same guy that said non white women are uneducated. Talk about a racist. He is so in love with Obama that I bet all this negative press the Oman is getting really makes him sit down and cry. Kind of like when he was in jail.

AHAHAHA Steve, I understand. I am posting here for the animals. LUCERNE VALLEY HOARDER SITUATION. IT IS IN SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY and THEY ARE SO BROKE. IN THE mean time the animals are killed for MORE ROOM TO TAKE IN MORE ANIMALS?? As I found out more, this situation could have been prevented... I AM not a rescuer, I do not take donations to rescue dogs or cats. I DONATED $$ to 2 - 3 dogs a week for nearly a year so rescuer will rescue them. I volunteered and foster dogs for rescuers so they can get more dogs out of the shelters when their homes are full with animals already etc. Anyway... enough said.. If you have Facebook account, please check the group and see if you or your friends can help get the dogs out of that place. The Hoarder has 40 dogs and the SB A/C gave her until next Wednesday to get it down to 4 dogs... IF NOT THEY ARE ALL GOING TO THE HIGH KILL SHELTER DEVORE ... Thank you and have a wonderful day all... :)

So horrible :/ All 4 of our dogs are rescues and we have always made that a habit, not using breeders. Unfortunately what alot of people do not see is just how many animals are put to sleep right there on site :( It probably is almost a relief for them I suppose but none the less heartwrenching. Why people ever take an animal that they do not love, care for, treat like a member of the family, have or do it themselves proper training. I tell people that all the time, straight up, the only way I know how to be. Lets no sugar coat it here folks if you take on a dog, or 2, 3, 4, its a hard job. Its just like having a baby but these can bite, and do not use a diaper to poop in. They need the attention of your childhren if not MORE because they do not have communication skills that people do. DO NOT GET A DOG Before you make a list and check it 2 or 3 times of what you have to do, must do, to maintain and care properly for that dog, or horse, or cat, any animal! Figure in the costs, the emergency vet bills when they get a puncture wood from the fence and it gets infected, treatment for worms, shots, licensing, vitamins if needed, or a medication if they end up with an illness. Dogs, nor other animals are a baby doll you buy at Walmart that just lays there, its a live, being, with feelings, try to remember that when you go and Johnny wants that puppy in the window.

Exactly true Blenda. My heart ached for several dogs that were already KILLED in Devore at NO FAULTS OF their own!! They had a hard life at the ranch and whereever they were before they got there. Then they were confiscated and sat in Devore shelter for over a month. All of a sudden, they were on the web site ready for adoption. We scambled to save them and only 7 were saved out of 35+ approx. that were taken there. URGENT NOW: LAST DAY BEFORE THEY ARE TAKIN IN TO THE HIGH KILL SHELTER in San Bernardino. Please help if you can't here are still almost 40 adoptable dogs at the Lucerne Valley ranch. Animal control will be back tomorrow to take more of the Dogs to the Devore Shelter. Because of an Illness in my family I am unable to help any further. The ranch owner is allowing rescues onto the property to help save a dog. Please text her at 760-694-7192 and let her know if you can take small or larger pets. Please share Also food is still needed. Julie has posted how to donate by calling the Lucerne Valley feed store. They will deliver it to the Ranch. General Feed. 760-248-2455 they have or had a sale on dog food. This is the local feed store if you can call them and you can purchase dog and cat food. They will deliver it to where it's needed. I don't know what the brand is. Two 50 lb bags for 35.00 plus 8.00 for delivery.

Build more death camps for these filthy beasts. They are unwanted predators and no different that any other vermin. I heartily approve of Dogschwitz.

The lastest news: on 13 and 14 February, all of the LUCERNE VALLEY RANCH HOARDER DOGS and Cats were taken to DEVORE ANIMALS SHELTER. The 62+ animals were kept for evidents and then released and given 3 days to be rescued. The cats unfortunately were PTD. On 14 February some of the dogs were not available to be adopted or rescued until Feb 21, 2014. On 24 February, about 30 more dogs were made available for adoption or rescued (Via PetHarbor web site) & FACEBOOK Rescuer / Crossposters / Volunteer's pages. The last day about 24 dogs were rescued safely out of the shelter.
