5 Things to Know in Murrieta: May 18, 2013
Relay for Life Murrieta runs from 9 a.m. Saturday to 9 a.m Sunday at Town Square Park.

1. Patchy fog and areas of drizzle are expected before 11 a.m., according to the National Weather Service. Otherwise, today will should be mostly cloudy with a gradual clearing and a high around 74. Tonight, expect mostly clear skies and a low around 54.
2. The water slides at Mulligan Family Fun Center officially open today and will be open weekends, then daily beginning June 7. For more information, click here.
3. Beginning at 9 a.m., head to Relay for Life Murrieta at Town Square Park. The American Cancer Society Relay for Life is a life-changing event that helps the community celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against the disease. The 24-hour event ends at 9 a.m Sunday.
4. Between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. at Lakeshore Learning Store, kids can craft their own critter creation. Located at 24420 Village Walk Place, the activity is free and materials will be provided. Get there early, as it is first come first serve.
5. Join the cast from the Temecula Gunfighters, numerous visiting gun-fighting clubs and other Old West costumed characters as they perform humorous skits and the high noon shoot out and robbery beginning at 11 a.m at The Bank in Old Town Temecula. Western Days runs through Sunday, and includes exhibits, music, trick ropers, calf-roping demonstrations and an ICS Chili Cook-off on Sunday. For more information, click here.
