5 Things to Know in Murrieta: May 17, 2013

Patchy fog and areas of drizzle are expected before 11 a.m. and after 11 p.m., according to the National Weather Service. Otherwise, today will partly sunny with a high near 73. Tonight, expect increasing clouds and a low around 50.

. Join the Murrieta Chamber of Commerce for Power Partners, an open, casual networking event from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Aromas Cafe, 29950 Hunter Road, Suite 103. The event is open to everyone and is free of charge. Bring your business cards and a raffle prize to promote your business.

3.  Here's what's for lunch today at elementary schools in the Murrieta Valley Unified School District: a hamburger. Lunches are served with a fresh fruit/salad bar and a choice of juice or milk. Lunches average 612 calories and 27.41 percent fat. To see middle and high school menus, click here.

4. Murrieta Mesa High School presents its final night of Spring Dance Production at 7 p.m. Held in the Gershwin Performing Arts Center at the school, 24801 Monroe Ave., tickets will be sold at the door beginning at 6 p.m. Doors to the theater open at 6:30 p.m. General admission is $5, or $4 for students, seniors and military. 

5. Ryan's Comics, 25021 Madison Ave., is hosting a Magic the Gathering draft between 6:30 p.m. and 11 p.m. Admission is $5 per person.
