Murrieta Man Dies Following Motorcycle Crash

A Murrieta man died Friday from injuries suffered in a Feb. 2 motorcycle crash, according to authorities.
Thomas Huyler, 51, of Murrieta, died at 12:35 p.m. Friday at Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar, according to a coroner's report.
At about 1:45 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 2, Huyler was riding a motorcycle on Sage Road, about 2.5 miles north of Highway 79 South in Aguanga, when for unknown reasons, he lost control, left the roadway and hit a tree, the coroner's office stated in the report.

California Highway Patrol Temecula Area and Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department responded to the crash.
The crash happened as Huyler was negotiating a sharp right turn in the roadway, according to CHP's report. His 2007 Ducati overturned as a result, according to the report.

Huyler, who was wearing a helmet, had to be airlifted from the scene due to major head injuries suffered upon impact, according to authorities.
