Man Wanted For Attempted Credit Card Fraud

The suspect allegedly tried to used a fraudulent credit card at several area stores.

A man who allegedly tried to use a fraudulent credit card at stores in Murrieta and Temecula is being sought by police.

The first alleged incident occurred at 12:49 p.m. Sept. 25 at Walmart, 41200 Murrieta Hot Springs Road, Murrieta, according to a flier posted on the Murrieta Police Department website.

"[The] suspect had a forged credit card containing the victim’s bank account information, and attempted to purchase computer equipment. The transaction was denied," said Murrieta police Detective Spencer Parker.

Then at 3:55 p.m. Oct. 2, the same suspect allegedly entered Super Target at 27818 Clinton Keith Road, Murrieta, and again tried to purchase electronic items with the victim’s bank account information, Parker said. The transaction was denied.

He then also allegedly attempted to use the fraudulent credit card at Temecula Motorsports in Murrieta and Little Caesar’s and Target in Temecula, Parker said.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic or Filipino male between 20 and 25 years old, 5 feet 7 inches, weighing between 150 and 170 pounds and wearing a black tank top, black jeans and a black beanie with a happy face print.

He is believed to be driving a white Ford F150 model year 2000 to 2005, with an extended cab and lifted.
